Vote for Oceanography Game!

UEA have an exhibit as part of our oceanography outreach effort at the Royal Society Summer Science Exhibition next week (http://sse.royalsociety.org/2013/exhibits/salty-ocean/).  Our theme is A Pinch of Salt, about how salinity affects buoyancy in the ocean and drives ocean circulation.  Ocean gliders are a centrepiece of the exhibit.

As part of that, we were one of 4 exhibits chosen to have a draft game developed in conjunction with our stall. The 'Seaglider' game is now online at

Please feel free to play it, and crucially, VOTE (for us, needless to say!). Voting closes on 7th July.

The winning game will be developed further and ported to more platforms.  This should be excellent publicity for oceanography and NERC science.  Ours is the only NERC-related game. Please tell your friends, schools, children, etc…. Teenagers and students find it especially addictive!

See our blog at http://salt-oceans.tumblr.com and follow us on Twitter @APinchOfSalt1. And do come to see us in London.
