Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) is the leading research funding agency in Japan, established by the Japanese Government for the purpose of contributing to the advancement of science. JSPS plays a key role in the administration of various scientific and academic programmes, whilst expanding bilateral exchange between Japan and the United Kingdom.
In cooperation with the Nominating Authorities (the Royal Society and the British Academy), JSPS provides the opportunity for outstanding young researchers to conduct cooperative research with leading groups at Japanese Universities and Institutions for a period of between 1 – 2 years.
