Knowledge Exchange Training

The Living With Environmental Change programme recently launched new knowledge exchange guidelines – see http://www.lwec.org.uk/ke-guidelines - these are a valuable resource for anyone wanting to ensure their research is put to use, particularly though not exclusively at a programme level, and contains a fund of examples of good practice.

SERC Postdoctoral Fellowship

The Smithsonian and SERC (Smithsonian Environmental Research Center) are committed to training the next generation of scientists with the internationally recognized Postdoctoral Fellowship program. The program is highly competitive, but provides a great opportunity for successful applicants to interact with a strong, diverse group of researchers throughout the Smithsonian. Call for 2013 SCOR Visiting Scholars

SCOR began a program in 2009 to enlist the services of ocean scientists from the SCOR community, from both developed countries and developing countries, to teach short courses and to provide more extended on-site education and mentorship at developing country institutions. This program is open to any scientists who have time available to spend teaching and mentoring in a developing country. The deadline for applications is 31 Dicember 2012. PhD Position at GEOMAR, Kiel

GEOMAR division “Dynamics of the Ocean Floor” is offering a PhD position starting at January 1, 2013. The PhD project will be part of the "Earth System Knowledge Platform" (ESKP), funded by the Helmholtz Association.
