Training Course on Marine Radioactivity, 20-22 February 2019, Puerto Rico

A three day training workshop is being offered on marine radioactivity on February 20-22, 2019 in University of Puerto Rico at Río Piedras, Puerto Rico. The site and timing was chosen to precede the ASLO Ocean Sciences meeting, starting Feb. 24th, for those interested in attending both events.

 

The purpose of the workshop is to train University students, early career scientists, and other professionals who are interested in, or will pursue research and/or management positions that require knowledge of radioactivity and its use in ocean sciences.

International Training Workshop on Marine Satellite Remote Sensing and Argo Monitoring Technologies (Sat-Argo)

This workshop will be held in Hangzhou, China during November 12-26, 2018. 

 

Closing date for applications is 10 September.

 

The objectives of this training workshop are: 1) to train researches and marine management staffs in marine satellite remote-sensing and Argo technologies to enhance their communication and interaction; 2) to assist developing countries in utilizing remote sensing and Argo data and the data processing and analysis techniques to monitor ocean environments.
