Two Principal Investigator Positions, Bigelow Laboratory

Bigelow Laboratory invites applications for two Senior Research Scientist positions associated with the three centers of research in the Laboratory’s new Ocean Science and Education Campus. 

Senior Postdoctoral Research Associate, University of East Anglia

A Senior Postdoctoral Research Associate is being sought by the School of Environmental Sciences, University of East Anglia. The postholder will contribute to the NERC funded research project Carbon and Nutrient Dynamics and Fluxes over Shelf Systems (CaNDyFloSS) to determine seasonal rates of phytoplankton, bacterioplankton and zooplankton respiration in the Celtic Sea.

Vacant position in Tromsø, Norway: Senior scientist to conduct research on Arctic Oceanography

We are seeking a scientist to lead research studies on polar oceanography in the Arctic, with special emphasis on the Polar Ocean. The person will also be involved with interdisciplinary ecosystem research in conjunction with biogeochemists, ecologists and fisheries scientists.

Tenure-track assistant or Associate Professor, USciences

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of the Sciences invites applications for the position of tenure-track assistant or associate professor to begin in fall 2014. Candidates doing research that complements our faculty interests in biochemistry or its interface with other chemical fields and teaching abilities in Biological Chemistry and molecular biology are encouraged to apply.

Research assistant in Tropical coral biogeochemistry, University of St. Andrews

Applications are invited for a Research Assistant on a NERC funded project to study the impact of past changes in the marine carbonate system on the skeletal accretion and geochemistry of cultured corals. The project will involve coral husbandry, analysis of seawater carbonate chemistry and trace element and stable isotope sample preparation and analysis.
