Two Tenure-track Assistant Professor Positions, Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi
 
Area of expertise is flexible, but applicants with a research emphasis related to material science, atmospheric science, environmental science, geochemistry or marine biology are especially encouraged. The successful applicants will be expected to establish an externally funded research program supporting an anticipated Chemistry MS program.   Opportunities also exist for collaboration with faculty in our rapidly growing engineering programs, and/or be part of interdisciplinary Ph.D. programs in Coastal and Marine System Science and/or Marine Biology. The candidates will be expected to teach at the graduate and undergraduate level. Requirements include a Ph.D. at the time of hire in Chemistry, Biochemistry or a closely related field. Post-doctoral experience is preferred.

Senior Research Associate: Nutrient Biogeochemistry in Marine Shelf Sediments, University of Portsmouth, UK

Applications are invited for the post of Senior Research Associate at the University of Portsmouth. The SRA will contribute to the NERC funded programme ‘Shelf-Sea Biogeochemistry’ to determine macronutrient fluxes across the sediment water interface. There will be extensive work at sea sampling sediments and carrying out shipboard experiments, this work will be complemented by laboratory manipulation studies and analysis of collected material.

Postdoctoral Researcher Integrative Modeling and Scenario Analysis for Arctic Coastal-Marine Sustainability

Senior scientist - Tromsø, Norway

We are seeking a scientist to lead research studies on polar oceanography in the Arctic, with special emphasis on the Polar Ocean. The person will also be involved with interdisciplinary ecosystem research in conjunction with biogeochemists, ecologists and fisheries scientists. The successful applicant will be responsible for coordinating IMR’s collaboration with the University of Tromsø in terms of physical oceanographic education. The candidate will also be part in providing advice to the Norwegian government in matters related to the Arctic.
