Research Professor in Marine Biogeochemistry, University of Antwerp, Belgium

As part of its dynamic research policy and supported by the possibilities offered by the Flemish Government through the resources of the Special Research Fund (BOF), the Faculty of Science is seeking to fill a full-time vacancy in the Department of Biology  for a Research professor (ZAPBOF) in the area of  Marine Biogeochemistry.


Job description

The assignment consists of lecturing duties, scientific research and academic service to society. During a period, limited to 10 years, scientific research will be the main activity.

The Alfred Wegener Institute Helmholtz Centre for Polar and Marine Research (AWI) is a member of the Helmholtz Association (HGF) and funded by federal and state government. The research unit Benthic Ecology of the research division Marine Ecology at GEOMAR is offering a Scientific employee (PhD-candidate) position for a project funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG), addressing "The Impact of Invasion and Environmental Change upon the Microbiome of an Algal Holobiont and its consequences for the host" starting on the 16th of February 2017. The position offers the possibility to attain a doctoral degree in natural sciences.
