Request for participation in a ESA Antarctic Climate Change Initiative (CCI) user survey

The Antarctic CCI Scoping Study consortium are conducting a scoping study to determine the user requirements for long term Antarctic data products (such as ice velocity, surface elevation change etc) derived from satellite Earth Observation data.

As part of this we need possible users of these data products (i.e. climate modelers, field workers, policy makers etc) to complete a user survey to provide information on the specification of the products they require. The results of this survey will be compiled into a user requirement deliverable that we submit to ESA and it will determine the products that we will produce as part of this project in the future if it is fully funded. Currently 13 different thematic ESA CCI projects exist including 3 cryosphere related CCI projects, namely ‘Sea Ice’, ‘Glaciers’ and the ‘Greenland Ice Sheet’ however Antarctica is not yet included.

The survey has just 16 multiple choice questions, takes max 10 min to complete (it's coffee break stuff), and until you press the submit button its not sent so you can always back out if you change your mind. The survey will remain open until mid-September. Here is the link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/AntarcticaCCI

A news story with further information can be found on the ESA Ice_Sheet_CCI website (http://www.esa-cci.org/).
