The University of Liverpool is seeking an ambitious and creative individual in the field of ocean biogeochemistry and the cycling of carbon and nitrogen stable isotopes.


The research group is interested in understanding how ocean biogeochemical cycles function and affect ocean ecosystems, and it is in this context that they are interested in furthering knowledge of the different processes shaping the oceanic cycles of carbon and nitrogen isotopes. This post is within the multidisciplinary ARISE project and the NERC Changing Arctic Ocean programme, and your work will link to efforts to detect large scale changes to this important ecosystem (


You will work with Dr. Alessandro Tagliabue at the University of Liverpool and other partners in the ARISE project, but also collaborate extensively with Dr. Laurent Bopp at the Ecole Normale Supérieure in Paris, France.
