Opportunity to submit research ideas for the North Pacific Research Board 2016 Request for Proposals

This is an invitation and opportunity to submit ideas for potential research topics to be included in the 2016 North Pacific Research Board (NPRB) Request for Proposals (RFP) to be released in October 2015. We are in the process of developing research priorities for the upcoming RFP. Working closely with the NPRB science panel and the broader research community, we are outlining potential research priorities to be reviewed this fall by the NPRB advisory panel and board. To coordinate research activities, NPRB has established formal agreements with federal and state agencies and other research institutions to jointly identify time-sensitive science, management, and monitoring needs. NPRB draws on research needs outlined in the 2005 NPRB Science Plan, an assessment of completed, current and planned projects, new information presented in science conferences, and new findings published in the scientific literature. NPRB also solicits and considers explicit research priorities from organizations and individuals within the scientific community at large.

If you have suggestions for research topics to consider in the 2016 RFP, please complete the online RFP input form [http://www.nprb.org/annual-research-program/about-the-program/deciding-w... by July 15, 2015 to ensure consideration. Please read the RFP evolution to view topics that have been included in the annual RFP since 2002.
