Job Opportunities: Senior Lecturers in Climate Change and Natural Resources, University of Seychelles

The University of Seychelles’ Environmental Science Programme and Blue Economy Research Institute seeks to appoint suitable qualified, energetic, adaptable, collaborative and innovative colleague to the position of Senior Lecturers in:

 

1. Climate Change

The appointee will lead research in one or more areas of Climate Change, such as Climate Change Adaptation, Climate Change Policy or Climate Change modelling. The appointee will assist with development of related courses on the new MSc programme, will teach on the BSc and MSc programme, and supervise undergraduate and MSc research students.

 

2. Natural Resources T

he appointee will develop and lead teaching and research in natural resource economics and management. Research experience relating to coastal and marine resources will be beneficial. The appointee will assist with development of related courses on the new MSc programme, will teach on the BSc and MSc programme, and supervise undergraduate and MSc research students.

 

Applicants must have a PhD in the relevant field with a record of publication in internationally refereed journals and/ or with academically reputable presses in the field of Environmental Science/Natural Resources/Climate Change.

 

Applicants should be able to provide evidence of previous university teaching, successful application for external funding and project management. Experience working in developing countries will be beneficial.

 

Applicants must be willing to work in a dynamic environment, and collaboratively contribute to institutional, degree and research development.
