A postdoctoral position in surface ocean biogeochemistry is available in the Division of Earth and Ocean Sciences (EOS) of the Nicholas School of the Environment at Duke University (North Carolina, USA). The research project revolves around measurements and modeling of net community production (NCP) in the Southern Ocean. There are opportunities for participation in research cruises. The postdoctoral position has a 12-month appointment, with possibility for extension. A Ph.D. in biogeochemistry and/or oceanography, and a strong experimental or modeling background are required. Salary is commensurate with the individual’s experience. Starting date is as soon as possible.
